Spring is the time for new things and some fresh ideas for the season were on display at Decorate Life, the new combined fair held July 4-8, in Frankfurt, Germany. Its post-show report highlights some trends:
"Spring wouldn't be spring without bright colors. Colorful accents supplement natural colors depending on the style world concerned. After the winter, graduated shades of radiant yellow and fresh green herald the awakening of the animal and plant world. The maritime theme goes in another direction. Here, blue, aquamarine and turquoise reflect the theme of water. A more linear, classic style prefers a mix of metal, black, white and red with purple and pink providing the colour accent.
"Animal lovers are pleased with the new companions—frogs, sheep and a variety of poultry populate apartments, patios and gardens. The trend animal of the year is the rabbit. Bunnies are synonymous with Easter but make ideal companions at other times of the year, too. Rabbits are available in a variety of forms, materials and products and, in some cases, even in extra large sizes."
