“Small personal luxuries continue to be top sellers. For many, purchasing a fragrant candle is an affordable way to create a luxurious atmosphere,” says David Martinez, national sales director of Seda France. “Citrus-based fragrances with complex, layered notes come to mind, especially when the other notes in the scent are out of the ordinary. Light florals are perennially at the top of our lists of best sellers, too. Jasmine, gardenia and hyacinth are always a hit.”
“For Seda France, gift-ready packaging is really important, so we’re always looking at eye-catching trends and unusual shapes or designs. For 2009, I would say bright, trendy colors incorporated into stylish modern designs will be big. And traditional patterns like our classic French toile motifs are still at a high, both in fashion and home accents."
