tag Launches New Catalog Strategy

Trade Associates Group, Ltd. (tag) has announced that the company has developed a new catalog strategy that better reflects today's independent retailer marketplace. Two seasonal catalogs and one "everyday" book will be published annually, beginning immediately with its recently released new "todayandeveryday 2013" catalog.

"Today's more segmented independent retailer landscape demands a more focused approach," said Joe Fahy of tag. "More and more, stores' assortments may include table and kitchen basics, or holiday and seasonal themed merchandise, but not always both."

The 80-page seasonal book and 160-page "everyday" book replace the twice-annual catalog that could run over 250 pages. In addition, supplements, such as the company's recent "out of the home" flyer of personal fashion accessories, will be published as needed.

"For those accounts that carry everything, our reps will use both books," continued Fahy. "But our new strategy gives them the opportunity to zero in on specific needs much more quickly."
