National Stationery Show and Creative & Lifestyle Arts Name 2013 Best New Product Award Winners
Eight National Stationery Show (NSS) and Creative & Lifestyle Arts exhibitors were honored with Best New Product Awards on Opening Day, Sunday, May 19, at New York City's Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. The coveted Awards are presented in nine categories and are considered a distinguished honor.

Best of Show
Haute Papier (Arlington, VA) for the Acrylic Combo Box, brimming with foil stamped and letterpress note cards that provides a finishing touch for any desktop.
All Things Wedding
Carlson Craft (North Mankato, MN) for Rustic Touch, a trifold wedding invitation suite featuring typography designs, scalloped edges and a burlap bag to hold the invitation and enclosures.
Giftsland (Elmhurst, NY) for Garlands, handmade paper garlands made from recycled and natural plant fibers, available in elephant, birds, flower, snowflakes, stripes, and more.
Chewing the Cud (San Francisco, CA) for Mini Canvas Buckets, hand-printed on 100 percent recycled cotton canvas with vegetable-based inks, and serving the dual function of table numbers and favor containers for special events.
Thimblepress® (Jackson, MS) for State Flowers USA Screen Print, an 18 x 24 inch illustration of all 50 U.S. states, each represented by its state flower filling that shape of the state.

Tutta Lou Press (Seattle, WA) for Die Cut Pendant Cards, letterpress cards which double as mini pendant banners to be created by the recipient.
1canoe2 letterpress (Fulton, MO) for Oversized Wall Calendar, measuring 20 x 30 inches and featuring 12 months printed on six pages, bonus art print, and a wood hanger.

Little B (Iselin, NJ) for its Travel Series of decorative tape, ideal for embellishing totes, favors, boxes and more.
"The caliber of products debuting at this edition of the NSS is remarkable," said Patti Stracher, show director. "These products represent the very best of what the shows offer, and are sure to be very popular among retailers across the country."
Judges for the 17th annual Best New Product Awards were Kimberly Baker, Museums & More/Party & Paper Retailer; Nancy Brooks, GIFT SHOP magazine; Stephenson Darling, Creative Retailer; Elizabeth Dugan, Giftware News; Nole Garey, Oh So Beautiful Paper; Caroline Kennedy, Gifts & Decorative Accessories; and Sarah Schwartz,Stationery Trends. More than 500 entries were judged based on innovative product design or concept, how the product answers an industry need, aesthetic appeal, creative use of materials and innovative packaging.
